The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has reportedly sealed more mansions belonging to Willie Obiano, a former governor of Anambra state.
The commission traced the mansions at Ngozika Estate in Awka to the APGA strongman.
A notice reading ‘EFCC, Keep Off. Under Investigation’ was found on the wall of an abandoned building traceable to Obiano, a development that came after his release from the commission’s custody after six days.
9news Nigeria previously reported that Obiano’s passport was seized after his arrest at Murtala Mohammed International Airport on his way to Houston, United States of America, shortly after handing over to his successor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
Obiano is being investigated for fraud and embezzlement of public funds, according to the Anti-Graft Commission’s spokesman, Wilson Uwajaren.
