GWO GWO GWO NGWO: Enugu Gov Peter Mbah Commissions New Street To Immortalize Music Legend Mike Ejeagha

Enugu State Governor, His Excellency Peter Mbah has announced Chief Mike Ejeagha street in the state following his lifetime contribution invested in the music industry.

This was done to immortalize the music legend while he is still living strongly in his nineties adding to the resonation of his Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo best track as 9News Nigeria reports.

In the course of the street commissioning, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu state Nigeria visited the music legend in his residence, had some good talks of encouragement with him and flagged up the commissioning in his name.

Henceforth, the street is officially commissioned, known and immortalize to appreciate the good works of Chief Mike Ejeagha- The author of Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo in his musical feat. Mike Ejeagha street is a reality in Enugu state.

In addition, Chief Mike Ejeagha was born April 4th, 1930 in Enugu state Nigeria. He is in his nineties at the date and time of this street commissioning by Governor Peter Mbah.

He is a Nigerian folklorist, songwriter, guitarist and musician from Enugu State, South East Nigeria.

Mike Ejeagha started his career in music in the mid-20th century. He is known as “Gentleman Mike Ejeagha”, he has been influential in the evolution of music in the Igbo language for over 6 decades.

Recall that his first hit was in 1960 – the year of Nigeria’s independence. Ejeagha is a native of Imezi-Owa in Ezeagu LGA of Enugu State Nigeria as 9News reports.

Among all his musical tracks, the most notable is the “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo ” track that resonated highly since the era of the shared Prosperity administration ably led by His Excellency President Ahmed Tinubu’s GCFR.

Since the mid year of 2024, Chief Mike Ejeagha’s best track took over the airwaves and millions of Nigerian across the globe including their foreign Nationals who takes pleasure and interest in listening to Igbo musical songs are happy for this development established by the People’s Democratic PDP Party governor of Enugu State His Excellency Gov Peter mbah.
