The Senior Special assistant on Petroleum and union matters to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state Hon. Comr Peter Nwosu on Friday the 18th day of December 2020 stated that if elected as the governor of Anambra state come 2021, he will partner with Non governmental organizations of like minds to uplift indigent citizens of the state.
He made this statement at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church Ihiala in Anambra state why chairing a mass wedding organized by Woman and Family Advancement Initiative (WAFAI) under the leadership of Dr. Mrs Uche Obi.
Hon. Comrade Peter Nwosu narrated how it will be beneficial to the society of the government begins to identify with NGOs to carry out humanitarian and activities community development projects.
Addressing over two hundred (200) couples who were united in the Holy matrimony, Hon Peter Nwosu said that it is important that government include organizations that serve humanity in their plans and policies especially during implementation to galvanize more efforts in uplifting her citizens. Comrade Peter Nwosu who said he has intentions of running for the office of the number one citizen of the state under the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) come 2021. He thanked the governor of Anambra state for his good works in the state.
The SSA on petroleum and union matters described the actions and activities of WAFAI as purely humanitarian and he recounted how the NGO in past times had put smiles on the faces of indigent Anambrarians and prayed God to sustain the organization. He also pledged to continually support all the activities of the group. He challenged other well meaning citizens to support government in order to lift lives from poverty and hunger.
He charged the newly wedded couples to remain united in love and raise good family for a better society.
