President William Ruto of Kenya has jookingly warned that his country could be experiencing a new wave of brain drain after his two daughters got married to Nigerians.
While speaking at a wedding ceremony, the African leader, in a viral video jokingly lamented the recent shift in the choice of husbands among Kenya girls, with Nigerian becoming more preferable to Kenyan men.
He then questioned why Kenyan men are taking the backseat, warning that his country might soon experience a brain drain If their women continue to marry Nigerians.
“My daughter is married to a Nigerian, and this one is now married to a Nigerian. And our guys around, I don’t know, are you slow? I don’t know. We need to balance this scale because at this rate, we are going to have a brain drain from Kenyan”, Ruto said.
