Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has made a shocking disclosure about his late father and the pioneer of Afrobeats, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, marital relations.
According to Kuti, Fela had over 100 concubines, insisting that people only knew of Fela’s 27 wives.
This was revealed in a recent episode of the ‘Bahd & Boujee’ Podcast co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe.
“People only know of Fela’s 27 wives, they don’t know of his over 100 girlfriends that lived with us in the house.” He said.
In 1978, Fela took a daring step by getting married to 27 women in one day.
Fela Anikulapo Kuti was a Nigerian musician, bandleader and activist. He is regarded as the King of Afrobeat.
