The former Lagos State Governor, and presidential aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 elections Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu had in a trending video, urged his supporters to go and take part in the ongoing ‘new registration’ because the PVC they have has expired.
In order to disabuse the mind of Nigerians over that wrong information, the Independence National Electoral Commission- INEC reacting on Tinubu instructions said he was not updated and that PVC don’t expire.
According to the commission, Nigerians who already have the PVCs do not need to register again as the cards have not expired, adding that they remain valid for future elections.
Having noted the correction the former Lagos State Governor and current Presidential aspirant on All Progressive Congres – APC platform has withdrawn his statement and has apologized to INEC and Nigerians for the mistake.
