A tragic case in Durango, Mexico has captured global attention, the young girl, identified as Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo, reportedly died days after undergoing a secret breast augementation surgery. Her biological father says he knew nothing about.
The procedure, allegedly carried out with the complicity of her mother’s boyfriend (a plastics surgeon), has triggered a criminal investigation and public outcry.
Poloma reportedly passed away on September 20, 2025, approximately one week after the alleged procedure.
Mr Arellano said that he is suspicious of how quickly his daughter’s death certificate was prepared.
He added: “They gave it to us right away, I don’t know how they did it so quickly. “After the funeral the following day. Carlos files a complaint when he realized there was more behind his daughters “suffering” and death.
He claimed there was a “cover-up”, and added that all those responsible be investigated.
“The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that they are investigating the death.
The surgeon ‘s licence has reportedly been suspended, and he is under investigation for malpractice.
