In the early hours of thursday the 20th day of may 202, the presidential visitation panel Federal polytechnic Nekede stormed the FEDPONEK council chambers where matters of public interest of host communities were discussed.
HRH Eze Morrison Eke PhD, Omadike of Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community stated the fact that Nekede is an indivisible entity with three arms of Autonomous Communities for administrative convince.
Eze Morrison who gave an account of himself before the visitation panel stated that obvious that Nekede as an entity is made of up their Autonomous Communities, namely; Umualum Nekede ancient kingdom, Umuoma Nekede Autonomous community and Umudibia Nekede Autonomous community as host Community of federal polytechnic Nekede.
He however stated that Nekede was under one Autonomous Community at the establishment of the institution and the law that established the institution was passed by the National ASSEMBLY as recognized by law.
Omadike futher added that Nekede people are one people that worships
One deity called “Ala Nekede” under the priesthood of one Onye ishi Ala Nekede.
The traditional ruler had earlier maintained that the tradition and culture of Nekede people are one and see no reason for the divisions and unequal treatment by the management of the institution among the three host communities.
He also pointed out that his community service Umuoma Nekede plays host to a large number of the off campus students and staff of the institution while absorbing the negative impact which include cult activities, rape cases, undue pressure on the limited infrastructure and amenites among other others.
The panel however asked HRH EZE Merenini, Dibia of Umudibia Nekede and HRH EZE AGUMANU of ancient kingdom to hold on since Omadike mentioned that the matter is still in court.
It may interest our readers to note that, the rector of the Polythecnic, Rev Dr Arimanwa pleaded with the traditional rulers of Umualum and Umuoma Nekede to pay them courtesy visits respectively and respectful to profer possible ways to resolve and end this lingering issue with the host brother Communities.

The rector of the school, Rev.Dr.Arimanwa thanked the Presidential team and the host community leaders for their visit to dialogue over lingering crises that affects the people.
