In the words of Nigerian National Anthem, Arise, O compatriots, Nigeria’s call obey. To serve our fatherland. With love and strength and faith. The labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
Similarly, the National pledge to Nigeria our country to be faithful, loyal and honest. To serve Nigeria with all our strength.To defend her unity, and uphold her honour and glory is more or less phrasal than practicable.
Recall that this national anthem was adopted in the late 1970s and is the country’s second-ever national anthem. However, the negligence exhibited by the political leaders against the purpose of this clarion call to service has affected the entire system so badly.
Back home, It is our prayer to see a great Imo under Governor Hope Uzodinma. And besides, Imo cannot continue to decay or go back to the olden days of administrative decadence but a time to apply the 3R mantra to jettison all odds.
Governance is a joint effort and therefore it is to the benefit of Ndi Imo to support Uzodinma’s administration to better our dear state.
I am privileged to read through the shared prosperity policy chat and behold if the chat is wholly applied to work, Imo state will be the envy of the country.
Too much opposition to the well-being of the people of Imo state and continuous political brouhaha cannot take us anywhere. We have to remember that Imo belongs to all of us and the earlier we retract to Leadership, bad politics will vanish.
My prayer is that the enormous challenges surrounding the Government will be defeated without further delay.
From my research, I found out that the basic needs of the people are regular payment of wages/salaries/pension, good roads, constant supply of power/electricity and reduction of prices of both building materials and market commodities.
A simple touch on the above mentioned will restore a peaceful, beautiful and harmonious society. Hence the welfare and security of the people are paramount.
