His Lordship Rt. Reverend F.O Nwaodu, Presiding Bishop of Royal Christian Pentecostal Bible Church, Salvation Cathedral Church Umukehi Orji Owerri North LGA Imo State Nigeria has charged Nigerian Political leaders to hasten up in their pre- election permutations and combinations to fix a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in the upcoming 2023 presidential election.
This statement was made open at a 3days lockdown fasting and prayers conference going on at the church Cathedral in Orji Owerri Imo state.
9News Nigeria correspodent gathered that the church has embarked on a 3days fastening and prayers to seek the face of God to direct the affairs of NIGERIAN government and to give Political LEADERS the needed discernment to lead the country aright.
Topic of the fastening and prayers is “God give an Igbo chance to become the next president come 2023”
Bishop FESTUS NWAODU stated that 103 delegates from his Diocese converged at the cathedral of Salvation Church Umukehi Orji to commune with God through prayers to restore the pride of Ndi IGBO in Nigeria and make one of their best Sons next NIGERIAN PRESIDENT in the upcoming Election.
He pointed out that the church of God is gathering across the country to ask Heaven to give Igbo PRESIDENT in the 2023 Election.
He however called on the Southern leaders to come back home and have a round table agreement to give IGBO the deserved right to produce a NIGERIAN PRESIDENT.
While recounting the ordeal being faced by the Igbos, the clergy hinted that nobody in this country have the zone in mind or put the IGBOs into consideration as they claimed that it was minority and no where their names were found in Nigerians political permutations.
In his words, “It is Igbos or not, otherwise Nigeria will not exist and election 2023 will not hold.
“By political assessment in Nigerian politics and elections held, other geopolitical zones have taken they turn with the help of Igbos , accept Igbos who are not even given an opportunity to context or to take turn as equity demands.
“Our gathering here at this exotic altar of God at the Cathedral Church of Salvation Umukehi Orji is to pray and ask God if Igbos are foreigners in their country.
And why did nobody cares for us in Nigeria ?
In Human development in Nigeria, Igbos are taking as number one.
In Nigerian economy, Igbos are everywhere developing cities for Nigerians.
There is no place or region in Nigeria you go and you cannot see an Igbo man established and contributing to the improvement and development of NIGERIA. This shows that Ibos believe in one Nigeria but others did not believe, the clergy lamented.
I want to use this opportunity to speak to Nigerians that whether zoning to South or not it is the turn of South East to produce PRESIDENT.
He Further stated that the political parties in Nigeria should zone their Presidency to Alaigbo and by so doing, NIGERIA will reman as an indivisible entity and agitations will seize.
“Our prayers says no Igbo man should accept Vice President position. And again without being told Nigerians need Igbo Man at ASO Rock to improve the country.
He also made it open that what is happening to Nigeria is spiritual, not physical but regretted how Nigerians are dyeing every day in their numbers, Bandits are every where , gun and unknown Gunmen on the increase, Kidnapping, poor economy and weak leadership are the order of the day.
Corruption, insecurity, strike actions and apprehension, lack of Social amenities, no electricity, no good roads, high cost of market products, petroleum products and Unemployment have remained uncared for.
That is the essence of this 3-days fasting and prayers which has commenced since Sunday evening 10pm through Wednesday 4th of may.
The Church is a strong arm of Government and as such we as a team have mobilized to put in best efforts through prayers, counseling, grassroots mobilization and sensitisation of all Nigerian voters to go out and get the permanent voters card PVC while requesting the leadership Thinktanks to grant the IGBOS their Political right to produce next NIGERIAN PRESIDENT.
