It’s been more than two years since the present APC administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari assumed power and many notable Nigerians have been pouring out their concerns about the performance of the government. Considering the importance of good governance and the present government’s unrelenting drive in fighting corruption among political leaders, it is expected that the scorecard for the Buhari-led administration would be at the centre of many political commentaries.
Speaking exclusively to 9News Nigeria at an event in Lagos, former presidential candidate, Prof. Pat Utomi stated his concerns on the present government’s performance so far.
‘’It’s a government trying to find its feet; it’s a government learning as it goes. We’ve had many years of another party – power, so obviously, the government is still struggling to find its feet and I hope that it does manage to do so’’, Professor Utomi said.
However, when asked whether he would come back in 2019 to contest as a presidential aspirant, the professor of the Lagos Business School admitted that he’ll leave such aspiration in the hands of God. According to him, when the right time comes he’ll know what to do.
