Nomad Vigilante Group of Miyetti Allah Hore, has returned two hundred and sixty-seven (267) pairs of uniforms, one hundred and two (102) pieces of black belts and one hundred and eighty-nine (189) pieces of infantry lanyards to the Nasarawa State Police Command.
This was in compliance with the recent Executive Order issued by Governor Abdullahi Sule on the proscription of the ethnic vigilante groups and other similar organisations in the State.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Ramhan Nansel made this known in a statement on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Nansel added that five hundred and sixty-four (564) black barets, three hundred and thirty-nine (339) pieces of black/ten (10) white lanyards and (2) identification cards were also returned to the police by the proscribed group.
“The Commissioner of Police hereby calls on those who are yet to comply with the Executive Order to do so on or before the expiration of the two weeks ultimatum as the Command shall ensure that the Ban is enforced to the later”, the statement reads further.
Recall the leader of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Bodejo was arrested in Karu Local Government Area of the State and arraigned recently in a Federal High Court, Abuja on a 3-count charge bordering on terrorism for allegedly establishing an unlawful ethnic militia group, Kungiya Zaman Lafiya.
