The Professor Hassan Liman-led management of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, (NSUK), has announced ban to all Assemblies in campus including sign-out celebration by graduating students till further notice.

This, in a statement issued by the University’s Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr Yahaya Mohammed, was aimed at maintaining law and order in campus.

Mohammed lamented that some persons are bent on creating chaos, lawlessness and breach of peace.

“You are, by this message, advised to obey the instruction of the University Management in this regard.”

The Security Unit has been put on the alert to enforce this decision.

“We hope you will shelve any plans to partake in any celebrations or be part of any Assembly until stability returns to our campus”,the statement read further.

A group of students had appealed to the management of the state-owned University to review certain anti-student policies recently introduced or risk protest.
