Nigerian social media sensation and musician Speed Darlington has reportedly been arrested following a petition filed by fellow musician Burna Boy.

The arrest, which took place last week in Lagos, saw Speed Darlington detained and later transferred to Abuja, where he has been held in custody.

According to human rights lawyer and activist Barrister Deji Adeyanju, who shared details of the incident on social media, Speed Darlington was initially arrested in Lagos last Friday.

He was allegedly moved around between locations before being brought to Abuja, where he has remained since then.

Adeyanju confirmed that Burna Boy had filed the petition that led to the arrest.

The reason behind the petition and arrest is still unknown, but the development has sparked conversations across social media, with fans and followers of both musicians weighing in on the matter.

This incident adds to the growing list of public spats and controversies involving celebrities in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Speed Darlington, known for his outspoken nature and bold online persona, has yet to release an official statement regarding the arrest.

Similarly, Burna Boy’s team has not publicly addressed the situation.
