There is currently tension in Uburu, the hometown of Governor David Nweze Umahi after suspected hoodlums set a police station located in the area ablaze.
Speaking with 9NEWS NIGERIA, a resident of the area said the hoodlums stormed the area from Amasiri, Onitsha, and Okposi and one other village to cause the mayhem.
The resident of the area who does want her name in print noted that youth in the village were able to chase the hoodlums away before they could cause another mayhem.
9NEWS NIGERIA gathered that Umahi is from UBURU, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
9news Nigeria had reported that Governor Umahi imposed a 24-hour curfew following an attack by suspected hoodlums in two different police stations yesterday in Ebonyi State.
During the attack, some policemen sustained injuries.
The EndSARS Protests rocking the country have been hijacked by hoodlums, causing panic attacks.
