Popular Imo Journalist Declared Missing After Being Abducted By Suspected Gunmen (Photo)

A popular journalist based in Imo State, Mazi Theodore Chinonso Uba, popularly known as Nonsonkwa has been declared missing after he was allegedly abducted by suspected gunmen on Sunday evening.

According to a statement released on his official Facebook account, his abduction happened in front of Teachers’ House along the Owerri/Portharcourt Road, near Ozisa FM Radio.

The statement reads in full ;

“Nonsonkwa is Missing!!!

An alarming report emerged yesterday evening regarding the abduction of Mazi Theodore Chinonso Uba, popularly known as Nonsonkwa, a well-known radio presenter.

According to report, the incident occurred on the evening of October 20, 2024, in front of Teachers’ House along the Owerri/Portharcourt Road, near Ozisa FM Radio.

Every effort made to reach him or get his whereabouts has proved abortive since then. One of his  is completely off while one hasline been ringing without any response!!

Please, anyone with useful information should not hesitate to reach us or the police. His life is at stake ndi Imo and it will be totally unfair to abandon Nonsonkwa at this trying time!!!!

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, Imo State Police Command is yet to issue any statement over the incident.
