Mr. Tonye Cole has congratulated the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara after the Supreme Court of Nigeria affirmed his electoral victory on Thursday.
In the 18th March 2023 gubernatorial election in Rivers State, Mr.Cole was the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate.
He had challenged Governor Fubara’s victory at the poll, from the Election Petition Tribunal up to the Supreme Court.
According to him, he did so as a Democrat, and his belief in democracy and service to the people remains unwavering, regardless of the judgment.
Mr Cole said he acknowledged the Supreme Court pronouncement and affirmation of gGovernorFubara’s victory.
He pledged to contribute his quota, and willingness to work with the Fubara-led administration in building peace and a conducive environment that would engender the growth of commerce and development.
