Ahead of 2027 Presidential Election, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has officially launched his campaign for the 2027 presidential election.
9News Nigeria reports that Makinde’s supporters have already begun rallying behind him, using the hashtag #MakindeForPresident to promote his candidacy.
At the moment, the governor is hosting PDP press corps members in Ibadan, where he is showcasing his projects in the southwest states.
Interestingly, the official social media handles of the PDP have been using the hashtag #MakindeForPresident while posting photos and videos of the signature projects.
Makinde has since positioned himself as a strong contender for the presidency in the main opposition party and the launch of the hashtag suggests the campaign for the Oyo governor’s presidential bid has officially kicked off.
9News Nigeria gathered that more political elites under PDP are also expected to declare their interests.
