
Ebonyi State PDP Chairman vows to ensure all aggrieved members reconciled in the Party.
- reiterated that PDP remains only credible alternative to salvage Nigeria from political high-handedness.
Immediately after resumption of work at the State Party Secretariat in Abakaliki/Enugu expressway, the state Chairman granted an exclusive interview from Newsmen who besieged his office to sort his reaction on the Zonal Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party held in Enugu State, were the party boss, Hon. Peter Onyema Nwele attended the elective Zonal Congress; He vowed that his Executive will ensure all members of the Party will be reunited to wrestle Power with the ruling All Progressives Congress in the forthcoming general election in 2027, He said “the PDP under my leadership will do everything within my power to reconcile all aggrieved members and build our great Party to compete favourably with other opposition Parties in the state”.
The Chairman emphasized that members of the Party in the state should withdraw litigation pending in different Court of Competent Jurisdiction against any individual or the Party that the matter will be resolved amicably within the ranks and file to move the Party forward.
Speaking further, he charged all members to shun utterances that will portray the party in bad light “All members of our great Party-PDP should please shun making Statements inimical to the progress of our Party in Ebonyi State in a bid to entrench Peace, Unity and Progress within our Party”
Reacting to the Zonal Congress of the Party in Enugu State were delegates elected their officials to pilot the affairs of the Party, He described the Congress as the best in the history of our democracy and called on those saddled with the responsibility of the party’s affairs in the zone to place Party’s interest above personal ambition, as well, justify confidence/trust the Delegates imposed on them.
He opined ” The Zonal Congress held in Enugu State is the best of its kind in the history of our democracy, knowing fully well, how peaceful, transparent, free and fair Congress conducted in an atmosphere of Peace and Tranquility without any record of violence or commotion throughout the event”.
In the same vein, the State Publicity Secretary, Hon. Nwafor Richard Nwali reiterated that the Party can only move forward, if all members unite and work assiduously to defeat the failed APC “Our Party can only progress if all members can eschew bitterness and work as a team to defeat All Progressives Congress”.
The party’s scribes, described as unfounded were some members of the public were fed with wrong information on the activities of the party and called on the People not to relent in their continued Support to the Party as no organisation is without challenges, he said, “As a political party, we have challenges but we will surmount it, based on our experience in governance and our commitment to ensuring our party reclaims the mandate of the people in 2027 general election”.
Answering question on the leadership of High Chief Dr Ali Odefa as National Vice chairman of the Party in the Zone, the state Chairman showered encomium and expressed confidence that chief Odefa has all it takes to further strengthen the Party in the zone and ensure Southeast is unified for PDP to takeover the zone “I am optimistic that chief Odefa will deliver on the mandate given to him by the delegates of our zone due to his past achievements while serving his first term as National Vice chairman of our great Party and we expects more accomplishment in stabilizing, rebuilding, Uniting and protecting the integrity of our great Party in Southeast”.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Peter Onyema Nwele expressed confidence that the state will bounce back and resume Party activities in no distant time; He encouraged all members to be steadfast , resilience and be assured of his efforts to carry everyone along
