After the commissioning of projects in Ogun State, President Muhammadu Buhari paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Chief Ernest Shonekan, former Head of the Interim National Government, at their residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
President Buhari was accompanied in the visit by the Governors of Ogun, Lagos and Yobe.
Received by the widow, Mrs Margaret Shonekan, and family members, the President who expressed heartfelt condolences, as well as signed the condolence register acknowledged late
Chief Shonekan as a true Statesman and leader. A peacemaker, stabilizer, fountain of wise counsel, and a firm believer in the prosperity and greatness of Nigeria.
