Issues surrounding the true nativity of Ali Bongo the deposed Gabonese President are as old as his age.

Official records say Ali Bongo was born on February 9, 1959 in Congo Republic a neighbouring county to Gabon.

The 64 years old France trained lawyer was first called and addressed as Alain Bernard after his Albert-Bernard Bongo who later changed from the Christian faith to Islam thus bearing the name Umar.

A French Journalist Pierre Péan always concerned with political scandals said Ali Bongo the deposed Gabonese President is actually a Nigerian. Péan said Ali was adopted during the 1967-70 Nigeria -Biafra war.
The ousted President has always denied the rumour linking him to Nigeria.

Another source, François Gaulme, a French historian and author of books on Gabonese politics has once told BBC:
Quote: “He wasn’t born in the Presidential palace, but almost… He was about eight went his father became president. The fact that he went to the best school in Libreville and didn’t learn local language was something he could get criticized for later on”.

Because of Ali Bongo denial of his genetic relations with Umar Bongo a picture showing him amongst the destitute children before he was adopted has always been put into circulation for the world to see.
