The former president of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has congratulated the Nigerian U-23 Olympic dream team for their 2-0 win against Denmark.

Dr. Jonathan on his twitter page posted the congratulatory message to the Dream Team : ” I’m proud of the Dream Team whose victory against Denmark has pushed them through to the medal rounds .”

The Nigerian Dream Team had 3 days ago beaten the Denmark team scoring them 2-0.

The team’s captain, Mikel Obi scored the initial wonderful goal thereby opening the door for another goal qualifying the team for the semi finals against Germany.

Hope is high on the team to qualify for finals and possible championship win in order to at least bring one and only Rio 2016 Olympic gold medal to Nigeria.
