The Honourable members of Imo State House of Assembly have seen the credibility and competence in the executive GOVERNOR of Imo state, His Excellency Hope Uzodinma and gave him a kudos accreditation as the best performing governor.
Considering his achievements so far in the state, the imo state house of assembly members ably led by the speaker alongside other lawmakers in a special session on Tuesday, 16th march 2021 jointly passed an implicit Vote of Confidence, VOC, on the Governor of Imo State, Sen.Hope Uzodinma.
According to the lawmakers, it became necessary to appreciate the achievements of the present administration of Sen Hope Uzodinma because he has done wonderfully well in almost all ramifications both in leadership and governance”.
Addressing the house members during the session, the IMHA majority leader, Hon.Chief Kanayo Dele Onyemaechi, aka Egbe Eji Eje Ogu, representing the good people of owerri- west state constituency, expressed satisfaction with the level of good governance so far witnessed. He described Gov. Hope Uzodinma as a kind hearted man with great leadership skills enough to take the state to an enviable height.
“As the lawmaker for owerri -west state constituency, majority leader of the 9th house and also chairman house committee on lands and urban development, I maintain that the good people of owerri -west are strongly behind the vote of confidence passed on the governor because my people are happy with the government of the day.
Information revealed to 9News Nigeria from the media aide Ikenna Emejuobi hinted that the THE MAJORITY LEADER FROWNED AT OKOROCHA’S STATEMENT OF BEING RICHER THAN THE STATE WHICH HE DESCRIBED OWERRI WEST AS WORST HIT
ONYEMAECHI further commended the governor for ensuring quality and standard infrastructural development from across the state.
“Egbe eji eje ogu ” as fondly called who described the 8 years of Sen. Rochas Okorocha as unfortunate period for imolites frowned at the fact that owerri -west particularly were the worst hit of that bad administration.
The lawmaker wondered why Rochas could open his mouth to declare himself richer than the state Govt describing the statement as a joke taken too far and totally unacceptable.
He thanked God for the implementation of reports of the probe panel set up by the previous govt.of Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha.”
As the majority leader of the house, i am committed to assisting the governor succeed and breakthrough he opined.
“Recall that Governor Uzodinma has through the legitimacy of the whitepaper made available by the imo judicial panel of inquiry commission expressively upheld the reports of the whitepaper as a working document legally approved”, Hon.Onyemaechi submitted.
This singular act therefore showcases Governor Hope Uzodinma as a Godsent, he is not ”my people-my people” funny type of Governor we saw in the past under Rochas Okorocha.
“As the chairman, state house committee on lands/urban development, I throw in my unalloyed support on the vote of confidence on Uzodinma by the people of Imo State, especially by the Imo lawmakers”, the majority leader concluded.
