All Progressive Congress APC party members in the south East has approved the nomination of Chief Dr Batos Nwadike as the best bet for the position of the National Secretary in the upcoming convention.

In a release signed by Ambassador Emmanuel Mmerimikwu President General and Deaconess Edith Iwuoha National Secretary of Progressive leaders of South East zone, showered solid support on Batos Nwadike

for official presentation for the position of the National Secretary of APC.

We, the circle of Progressive leaders of South East zone of Nigeria, wishes to present Dr. Batos Chikezie Nwadike( Oyi of Igboland) as a credible nomination for the position of National Secretary of the All Progressive Congress( APC).

Dr. Batos Nwadike is an indigene of Isu ancient Kingdom of Nwangele LGA of Imo State of Nigeria. He is a 1982 graduate of the University of Jos, Plateau State. He was a teacher for 10yrs before he joined partisan politics in 1987 and later contested for the Chairmanship of Nkwerre LGA in December 1990 under the banner of the Social Democratic Party( SDP).

Dr. Batos Nwadike played many critical roles in the politics of the 90’s which was abbrevated in the annulment of the 1993 presidential election. In 1994, he founded Ozuruigbo as a pan Igbo group to further not only his pro democracy streaks but also to reawaken the consciousness of the nation to inequalities and Igbo and minority rights affirmation in Nigeria. As the military was handing over in 1999, he co-founded the Ekwueme vanguard with other compatriots to push for an Alex Ekwueme Presidential quest. He also ran as the AD Senatorial candidate before the alliance of the APP/ AD alliance shelved his ambition.

Dr. Batos Nwadike is a socialite, using his massive network for political engineering and community service. He has been networking through his business company Spice Campaigns as a Lobbyist, Property Agent, Writer, Author , Publisher and Columnist. He has written many articles in various national dailies and organised many public lectures especially the Seventeen Ozuruigbo lecture series.

In the 2011 general elections, Dr. Batos Nwadike was a prominent Presidential Candidate in Nigeria running under the banner of Peoples Mandate Party( PMP) and finished 6th in the elections out of 17 presidential candidates. Apart from Zik and Emeka Ojukwu, his vote is the highest gazetted Igbo vote in Nigerian Presidential election history. Today, he is Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Political Matters.

Dr. Batos Nwadike is happily married to Lolo Edith Ngozi Nkoyo Nwadike and they are blessed with four children. Ladies and gentlemen of the biggest and most popular political party in Black and white Africa, we hereby present to you the most credible man for the post of national secretary Dr. Batos Chikezie Okwuchukwu Nwadike, the group maintained.

In a related development, Emeka Amadi, a Public Affairs commentator and ardent APC member, wrote from Abuja saying that Chief Batos Nwadike is the Best Material for National Secretary Position of the leading All Progressive Congress APC party.

The original copy reads thus:

  • As the cottons gradually draw close to 2023 general election, political parties in the country are taking critical inward look at its party strategies including party leadership formation.

No wonder party convention where major decisions are taken, including the election of national officers of the party, are given paramount consideration in party politics, especially in preparation for electioneering process.

It is for this reason that the All Progressive Congress Party (APC), in a bid to reposition and ensure landslide election victory, has scheduled its annual national convention to hold on 26th, February, 2022, bearing last minute change.

The importance of such political gathering cannot be over emphasized. It is a time when men of substance and quality, leaders with requisite knowledge and back ground, who have the capacity to entrench the party dominance and cause a win of election, are chosen.

It is therefore commendable that the leadership of All Progressive Congress Party (APC), in her wisdom, decided to zone the position of the national secretary of the party to South East.

It must be reemphasized that the quality of the man who takes up the onerous function of managing the party secretariat of APC, a dominant ruling party, is as important as ceding the position to South East zone.

This certainly must have informed the clamour for Dr. Batos Chikezie Nwadike (Oyi of Igboland), to be elected as the National Secretary of All Progress Congress Party (APC) at its forth coming convention.

Dr Nwadike, from Imo State Nigeria, has proven his political mettle in the entire South East and has established himself as an astute outstanding political figure, with enormous capacity to deliver the goods.

Notable socio-cultural organizations, political groups and party members of good intention from South East zone, have been at the fore-front of the clamour for Oyi of Igboland to occupy this strategic national party position.

No doubt that the Circle of Progressive Leaders of South East Zone, among other groups that are at the vanguard of nomination of Dr Nwadike as the National Secretary, must have experienced his superlative party administrative prowess at some point or the other.

It is on record that Dr Nwadike exhibits permeable gregarious nature with strong political will and far reaching contacts and political network.

This unique attributes places him above his contemporaries and political rivals hence his wide acceptability across party line.

The 1982 graduate of University of Jos has garnered tremendous party management and administration knowledge, having played active politics for upward of 30 years and still counting.

His sterling political outing in 2011 general election, when he ran for the Presidency of Nigeria on the platform of Peoples Mandate Party (PMP), was a testament of his dauntless political will.

It was an election where he finished 6th among 17 presidential candidates. Mention must be made that apart from Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief Odumekwu Ojukwu, no other Igbo politician has more gazetted votes than that of Dr. Nwadike in the history of Presidential election in Nigeria.

The pan Igbo group he founded in 1994, known as Ozuruigbo, expanded the frontiers of pro-democracy movement and awakened consciousness against inequality and minority rights affirmation.

It was on the Ozuruigbo Day / Lecture of October 14, 2016 that our Governor, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodinma delivered the master class of a paper – OPTIONS, VARIABLES AND STRATEGIES TOWARDS THE REALISATION OF NIGERIA PRESIDENT OF IGBO EXTRACTION! Interestingly, the Nigerian President of Igbo Extraction is one of the key issues in today’s Nigerian political discourse!

Dr. Nwadike co-founded Ekwueme Vanguard in 1999, a structure that advanced the presidential ambition pf Dr. Alex Ekwueme. He was also a top senatorial contender on the platform of Alliance for Democracy ( AD) before the military over ran the process in the 90s.

This political colossus of a kind, has held several political positions and currently the adviser to the governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, on political matters.

The All Progress Congress Party will require a man in the pedigree and mould of Dr Nwadike to head its national secretariat.

His background prepares him as an unquantifiable political asset for the party if he becomes the national secretary.

He will not only deploy his experiences to ensure that the party expands its frontiers in the South East, but will capture the entre region in 2023 general election.
