Troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE have arrested three suspected criminals and recovered an AK-47 rifle with ammunition during a pre-wet season offensive operation.
The operation, carried out on Thursday March 26, 2026,targeted the Agasha area following credible intelligence on suspected terrorist activities.Rr
The suspects -Sule Ibrahim, Salmanu Risko, and Abdulkareem Haruna – were apprehended after troops cordoned off the location.
Recovered items include AK-47 rifle, magazines, 27 rounds of ammunition, a mobile phone, a cutlass, sachets of alcohol, and assorted charms.
The suspects are currently in custody pending investigation and prosecution.
Troops say they will sustain aggressive operations to secure communities and ensure a safe farming season, while the Force Commander, Major General Moses Gara, commended their professionalism and resilience.
