Amidst the flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State capital, there has been another heavy downpour in the city.
This is the second heavy rainfall in the city after the flood incident that started last week Monday, and this is happening few hours after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu landed in the state.
The president was received at the Maiduguri International Airport in the the afternoon.
He was received by the state governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum and other government officials.
While Gov. Zulum was taking a tour of the affected areas with the president, the heavy downpour started around 4PM and lasted for about two hours.
Tinubu was seen in some areas addressing the victims of the flood.
About a million of residents in Maiduguri, Jere and Konduga local government areas were displaced by the devastating flood.
The ravaging flood has destroyed hundreds of houses and properties while claiming several lives.
