This is indeed a good time in the camp of the ruling party, they are presently in jubilant mood going by the news that filtered in on Friday. The Supreme Court uphold the nullification of all Primaries that took place in Rivers State, PDP described the ruling as resounding and a victory for the country’s democracy. Recall there were two factions in the State at the time, with each coming up with its own Candidate.
Speaking to newsmen after the ruling. the Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbodiyan, described the ruling by the highest Court in the land as a landmark judgment worth commending. He went on to congratulate the Court for its courage, not minding any form of intimidation from the opposition Party.
This massive ruling is indeed great, it has saved the country a huge Constitutional crisis that would have marred the forthcoming polls. No doubt, this will go on to serve as a form of warning to Politicians that does things which goes in contrary to the laid down laws, I hope they would learn and change their corrupt ways, Mr Ologbodiyan concluded.
We are yet to receive any statement from the Spokesperson of the Party in the State.
