🟢Call On The Communication Minister To Ban MTN or Withdraw their Services From Nigeria.

NIGERIA: An embittered customer of MTN Nigeria, have raised alarm over continuous automatic activations and unapproved service charges repeatedly inflicted on his MTN service line by the company and their managers.

Soeaking to Newsmen Monday morning, the affected customer frowned at several Unauthorized service charges and unapproved activations repeatedly surcharged from his long years MTN user line. He added that MTN is his best service providers and assumed the highest patronized network subscribers in Nigeria.

The affected customer is therefore challenging MTN to tell Nigerians while certain activations and deductions are done automatically by MTN, without the consent of the customers.

He has also challenged MTN to render an unreserved apology on three (3) national dailies and same 9News news media within the space of 14days with effect from the date of this publication otherwise be ready to face the law.

Speaking with Newsmen, Monday morning, the customer (Name Withheld), have challenged MTN to return all the charges taken from his account coupled with compensation for damages and inconveniences and emotional pressure meted upon him with accumulated unauthorized deductions, service charges and unnecessary auto activations by MTN.

Accordingly, “All my conversations with the MTN Service representatives was recorded for confirmation and further investigation while calling on the Ministry of Information and Communication to intervene or betterstill stop the services of MTN service providers for such business rascality, extortion and criminal intent.

Unarguably, many subscribes of MTN have also made similar complaints and raised alarm over unapproved and unauthorized deductions inflicted upon them by same MTN company managers.

The deductions have severally continued on various service lines and anytime calls are put to MTN customer service through their office code , the response will be such a hectic process of retrieval or steps to deactivate. Several times, harsh assignments and protocols will be retuned back to the affected customer to apply unnecessary codes without tangible solution or proffering immediate remedy.

However, certain code numbers to deactivate these deductions are most times inactive and unavailable while the company kept deducting same lines pending when complaints are made, just like this particular customer have done, by making his complaints publicly.

For instance, the MTN “2Can Play Service” from that has no valuable impact to the country and even the users of MTN network has been an alleged means of extortion and deductions of user’s service charge.

At the time of filling this story by 9News Nigeria, a longtime customer of MTN service line was deducted of N100 unduly at several recharges from 2CAN PLAY billing which was automatically activated by MTN, unknown to the user. The activation has been reading for years unknown to the subscriber until on Monday morning, the subscriber raised alarm. All along, it has been every New Year , new introduction of a new modus operandi and deduction patterns.

Accordingly, a call was put across MTN through their customer service code number 300 and the representative was fidgeting over the situation. “She couldn’t solve the problem after every necessary step she took failed. “The MTN customer care personnel later refered me to her supervisor, who later called with this particular number (671), the affected customer frowned.

Speaking with the customer, a senior supervisor, Mr John from lagos MTN call center, said his colleague transfered same complaints to him for possible solution to the customer’s (phone number -08036856526)

“Several times, money (s) have be deducted from people’s MTN account without due authorization by the customer and when call is out across MTN, no possible remedy or instant solution.

“MTN has many inappropriate auto activations and deductions from customers unknown to them and that is termed unprofessionally bad and sign of de-marketing or pulling down the company.

MTN has some codes that are inactive to deactivate unapproved charges by customers, until the situation persists, when the customer challenges MTN customer Care to deactivate automatically from their central server, then you see them running here and there.

The highpoint is that Code 3051# was not active to deactivate the 2CAN PLAY value added service on Monday when this action was observed and this report by 9News Nigeria was gathered, alleging such act as fraudulent intent and discouraging and criminal.

The unapproved value added service charges by MTN is totally wrong and extorting. The credit deductions are too much and the company is feeling less concerned over it ,which has led to this public Outcry by the affected MTN customer.

Inspite the high cost of tariff plans by MTN, the company is still engaging in syphoning people’s phone recharge cards through high deductions without taken due permission or appropriate steps to deactivate such unauthorized service charges from customers.

“Tariff charges are high, Subscriptions are high , Data, Wifi consumption is high and fast consuming mainly on MTN service. The company has to be questioned” , the embittered customer frowned while calling on the Federal government to ban or sanction MTN for damages done to this customer as 9News Nigeria reports.

“I patronize MTN on a huge call cards and data and wifi subscriptions on daily basis. Most times, I even borrow to repay back as my online traffic increases. This is because of my love for MTN until this act of unauthorized activation and service charges came on Board. MTN has been making these deductions unknown to me. This is so bad, he lamented.
