Founder of Global Paegent Brand organisers of Miss Polo International, Ibife Eugene Alufohai, today, laid her father, late Elder Eugene Omubo Peters to rest in Abonnema, Rivers State.

Ibife who came in from the United Kingdom for the funeral said she will always remember her father for taking good care of his children and everyone around him.

“If I knew it would be the last time I would see you walk out that door, I would have held you tight and never let you go

“If I knew it would be the last time I would hear your voice over the phone when you said ‘Afang Soup’ I would have recorded it to play it over and over again.

“You are forever my hero, I am glad I am your daughter, your egg, your titi. My love for you is eternal, You will forever be in my heart,” she said as tribute.

Elder Eugene was a war veteran and so was honoured with a gun salute by the Nigerian army during the funeral.
