The former Military Administrator of Oyo State, Tunji Olurin is dead.
Olurin, who is a close political ally of former President Olusegun Obasanjo died at Lagos state University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) on Saturday, Aug 21st.
The deceased’s brother, Funso Olurin, disclosed this in Abeokuta on Saturday.
Funso revealed that his brother died after a brief illness at the age of 77.
According to reports, Olurin, who governed Oyo from 1985-1988, was born in Ilaro, Ogun state on December 3,1944.
He also served as the Field Commander of the ECOMOG Peace keeping Force in Liberia between 1992 to 1993.
During the First Liberian Civil War, he retired from service in 1993.
